Our Future

Starts With You

The Moorpark Foundation for the Arts is dedicated to nurturing and enhancing the appreciation of performing and visual arts in Moorpark, Ventura County, and its neighboring communities. Central to our mission, the Foundation oversees the High Street Arts Center and actively supports youth musical theatre education programs. Our key objective is to open the world of live theatre to all youth, with a special focus on providing access to economically disadvantaged children.

Through engaging activities like showcase sessions and Theatre Camps, led by skilled and experienced instructors, we offer these young minds a platform to explore and immerse themselves in the arts. Our programs are designed not only for those who may pursue a career in the arts but also to instill valuable life skills in all participants. Participation in our programs fosters empathy, creativity, teamwork, and most importantly, self-confidence. These attributes equip our young participants to become confident individuals, ready to make meaningful contributions to society as they transition into young adulthood.

Fundraising plays a vital role in sustaining these enriching activities and maintaining our theater's infrastructure, which is essential for hosting our diverse year-round events. Your support is crucial in keeping the arts alive and accessible in our community.

Your Support Matters

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the Moorpark Foundation for the Arts, we are launching several targeted capital campaigns, each aimed at significant improvements. Among these, the highest priority at this time is the replacement of our theater seats. This upgrade is a key step in ensuring that every visit to the High Street Arts Center is a comfortable and engaging experience for our audiences. While this is just one of the many initiatives we are undertaking, it stands out as a crucial element in our mission to provide a top-notch cultural venue in our community. Your support in this endeavor is greatly appreciated and will make a substantial difference in how we bring the arts to life.
